Awhile ago, I took Erdrique through the Tomb of the Forbidden. The Tomb of the Forbidden is part of the Necro III Adventure Pack and is one of the quest needed to get access to the Cursed Crypt. Like the previous two Necro packs, there is one quest that requires at least 2 or more players in order to complete the quest because the group has to split up. The Tomb of the Forbidden is that particular quest for the Necro III pack and requires at least two part members to complete because you have to pass a single gear to another party member through grates to unlock some doors to progress further into the quest and in order to complete it.
Tomb of the Forbidden is a level 11 quest on normal. A few weeks ago, I took Erdrique through this quest as he was finishing up his level 11 quests. Luckily, I had received help from another guildie, Hellbanisher. One interesting thing about the Tomb of the Forbidden (besides the passing of the gears to open up the doors) is the type of mobs you fight.
In the Tomb of the Forbidden, you mainly come across frost marrow skeletons which can be quite challenging, although quite fun to burn up if you are a Fire Savant or a fire based wizard. However, there are also a few other oddities in this quest that make me wonder how they serve the great Black Abott. First off, we encounter a number of glass spiders. I’m not sure why this quest has glass spiders, as opposed to the phase spiders in some of the other Necro quests. Also, while the various cultists aren’t that much of a surprise, the Ogre magi and fiendish trolls through me for a loop. I’m not sure how they are involved with the Black Abbot. There is also a named mind flayer in this quest. What his connection is to the Black Abbot is also a mystery.

However, the mixture of these mobs, the the splitting of the party to open up the doors, the deadly traps, and hidden doors make the quest quite interesting and fun. Hell and I had a great time blasting through the quest and now I only need to complete the Cursed Crypt to finish that series off.

Tomb of the Forbidden is bestowed by Dessenau in the Necropolis. All of the Necro quests dish out a fair amount of experience. When I completed Tomb of the Forbidden, I had received nearly 30 k in experience. At the time I was level 14, running the quest on elite (which made it a level 13 quest so I wasn’t gathering the bravery bonus), 20% experience pot, with the Voice of the Master, and a death (dang traps…). Not bad at all.
Well thats it for now. If you get a chance try to explore the Tomb of the Forbidden and if you do happy slaying!! Thanks for reading!!
