Unlike the previous weekend, this past weekend was relatively light on the questing side of things for me in DDO. This was primarily because of two reasons. One, the third Saturday of the month is a date night for my wife and I and two, we (my wife and I) had spent a good portion of the weekend with another DDO player and his wife :), which was really fun to do. However, even with that said, I did get in some questing.
To kick off the weekend, I took Lorrikk (Level 12 Monk) out into the Searing Heights in search of his last rare encounter, the fire elemental Smolder. It had been awhile since I tried to track Smolder down but I was lucky to finally find her this time and to collect that last rare encounter to finish off that slayer zone. Now Lorrikk can get back to completing Sorrowdusk Isle. That afternoon, I continued my obsession with explorer/wilderness areas and took Hamllin (Level 16 Fighter) out into the Red Fens where we continued to march his way through those slayer kill counts. Later on Friday night, I had planned on taking Erdrique (Level 9 Rogue) out into Sorrowdusk Isle and starting the Grey Moon Waning story chain, but instead I stayed with my explorer theme and ventured back out into Three Barrel Cove. I decided to stay out there and completed all of the explorer and slayer marks and tried my best to complete the rare encounters, however Captain Tycohnn just wouldn’t spawn for me :(. I’m going to have to see if I can get lucky finding him this week.
I didn’t log int to play at all on Saturday, only checking on a few odds and ends instead. On Sunday, I logged on with Tuhnn (Level 15 Bladeforged) and was joined by Khamels as we hit up the Ruins of Threnal and worked on completing the Eastern Excavation. We quickly knocked out the The Library of Threnal, Escort the Expedition, and Hold for Reinforcements. I must say that the numerous rust monsters were quite annoying but we had no primary issues in getting the quests completed.
Overall, it was a great weekend, getting in some DDO game time as well as some real life time with some friends!! I hope everybody else had a pleasant weekend as well, happy hunting!!
