A Name for a Waterfall

When one of the little flavor things I find while adventuring through the wide array of areas in DDO is coming across the various landmarks and locations and learning their names.  An example of what I’m talking about occurs when we enter the quest A Small Problem.  This particular adventure actually occurs in a location called Mammoth Valley.  Within Mammoth Valley, there are a few landmarks including the Rocky Valley and Slithering Pass.  The last time I was in the quest with Erdrique (Level 25 Rogue/Legendary Dreadnaught) I took note of a pretty dramatic landmark and wondered about it.  The landmark I’m talking about is the impressive waterfall that creates the mountain spring where you collect the blessed water to give to Brawnpits.

I then wondered what a good name would be for this particular natural landmark.  This particular waterfall is split at the top of its formation by one of the many ledges in the Mammoth Valley and drops quite a distance to the mountain spring pool below which appears to be home to some water elementals.  We can’t really see the river that forms the waterfall and we don’t know much about the source of the river either.  The water appears to be pretty pristine, at least from what we can tell.  I’m also not sure if anybody has put down a claim as to discovering this waterfall or has attempted to document it.  We know that somebody did come out to Mammoth Valley at some point to explore it because of few of its landmarks have specific names.  I guess they didn’t feel the waterfall was worthy of being named but I beg to differ with that thought.  It is a large and key landmark for the area.

Well, since Brawnpits seems to have inherited this area as his chosen home, I’m thinking the waterfall can be named Brawnpits’ Falls.  Another thought could be to name the waterfall after the creature we encounter in the area, in particular how they all seem to be quite “restless.”  Perhaps the Restless Falls would be a better indicator of the area and those that use the water from the waterfall and its corresponding pool.  I like Brawnpits’ Falls better, myself :).  What do you thing?

Thanks for reading everybody and happy hunting in the Mammoth Valley!!
