Hitting Up Some Quests, January 29 to February 4

Well, this past week was much more productive than the week prior.  I didn’t get a chance to kick off the week until Monday.  I started Monday afternoon by taking Breyy (Level 7 Artificer) out into wilds of Korthos Island.  He collected 93 more slayers while out there.  After I ran Breyy, I logged on with Erdrique (Level 10 Bard) and Sttollen (Level 11 Rogue) and ran the quest The Graverobber.  While running The Graverobber on elite, Erdrique picked up 28 mysterious remnants while Sttollen picked up 76.  The run went fairly smoothly.  Monday night, I took Burlland (Level 15 Purple Dragon Knight) out into Korthos Island and collected 415 slayers, defeated Vekz Spluhr and Ciccic twice, hit the 400 and  750 slayer award mark, collected all rare encounters, and picked up the monster manual deed for human exterminator for 330 experience.  After he finished the Korthos Island slayer area, I took Burlland out into the Cerulean Hills.  Burlland collected the 10, 25, 50, 100, and 200 slayer marks.  He also located all of the explorers and took out Thaalan, Ebony, Lotigath, Kargoth, and Twinfang.  Burlland also collected two monster manual deeds one exterminator deed for orcs (gained 1,100 experience) and another one for fiendish lion (2,200 experience).  I did this while also playing during our weekly digital table top game.

I started out on Tuesday by logging in with Erdrique and Sttollen and taking them into the Searing Heights for my slayer run.  They took out Itharn Ushu, Shute Ruggzen, Giallo, and Ghamzee and collected another 194 slayers.  After that run, I logged on with Hamllin (Level 20 Fighter) and attempted to do Demon Assault on elite once again.  I haven’t had much luck on this lately and this go around wasn’t any different.  I had some buggy AI issues with my hirelings and went down in a flame of glory :).  I did collect a monster manual deed for dretch hunter though.  That was the last run I was able to try on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, I took Kolll (Level 22 Ranger/Shiradi Champion) into the King’s Forest where he collected 38 slayers, defeated at least five dire bears, and picked up two commendations for the villagers of Eveningstar by completing the random encounter for The Antidote which all finished all of his random encounters for the Villagers of Eveningstar.  Shortly after than run, I logged on with Erdrique and Sttollen and I took them through The Missing Party quest in the Delera’s chain.  I completed the optional objectives for slaying all of the Omaren guardians.  I called it a night after that run to spend date night with my beautiful wife :).

I didn’t get a chance to run a slayer run or a mid-day run on Thursday but I did long on Thursday night with Breyy.  I took back into Korthos and completed the quests Stopping the Sahaugin, Necromancer’s Doom, and Sacrifices.  As I made my way from quest to quest I picked up 39 more slayers in Korthos Island.  For Sacrifices, I completed the optional objective to free all of the slaves, slaying Drenyl Fallow, and defeating the arcane skeleton.

I didn’t log on Friday night, as I fell asleep and before new it it was 2:30 am, lol.  But I did get on Saturday night.  I logged on with Erdrique and Sttollen once again and this time I got up with Wasabisan and we headed off into The Pit on elite.  We had an interesting time in there but we wound up completing it with just a little bit of an issue in the electricity room.  We completed the optional objectives for slaying Chieftain Ryssyssal, slaying High Priest Shylssass, slaying the Avatar of Juiblex, and destroying some eggs.  Erdrique picked up a monster manual deed for troglodyte exterminator II (netting him 1,380 experience) and he also picked up a total of 27 mysterious remnants.  Sttollen, looted a Docent of Acid and a Muck’s Doom (which I passed on to Wasabisan).

So overall, not a bad week.  Not as full as my  typical set of week’s but I still had a nice variety of runs.  I hope everybody else had a nice set of runs as well.  Thanks for reading and happy hunting!!

A Light Week This Week

My questing in DDO was extremely light, for me at least, during this past week.  This was because I had to go to a workshop in Charleston, SC this week.  Usually when I head out of town for an extended period of time, and my wife can’t come with me, I bring my computer along so that I can still get some game time in.  Unfortunately, the work generated from the workshop and from the office preventing me from getting logged in.  Quite dishearteningly!!

I didn’t log into DDO until Monday night.  This was also during my weekly digital PNP game as well.  I logged on with Izmit, my level 15 Shadar-kai, and just took him through a few runs of Korthos Island and Cerulean Hills.  He was able to collect enough slayers to finish off the Korthos Island slayer area.  I then took him the Cerulean Hills where he collected 286 slayers, hit the 10, 25, 50, 100, and 200 slayer marks.  He also earned monster manual deeds for wolf exterminator and orc exterminator.  He also ran through into the rare encounters for Ebony, Twinfang, Kargoth, and Lotigath.  That was all I was able to get done on Monday.

I didn’t log back into DDO until after I got back home from Charleston.  I logged on Saturday, and I took Erdrique (Level 10 Bard) and Sttollen (Level 11 Rogue) through Old Grey Garl and Tear of Dhakaan.  I took them into Three Barrel Cove and hit up Old Grey Garl first.  I had an interesting in here.  I was able to complete the optional objective for smashing all of the coffins and both Erdrique and Sttollen gain a monster manual deed for halfling hunter.  However, when I made it Old Grey Garl himself, it turned out that he spawned as a red named champion.  Erdrique didn’t last too long against him but luckily I had Sttollen who had a cleric hireling with him.  So I took Sttollen up to Erdrique, got Erdrique raised and was finally able to finish the quest.  It was definitely interesting.  They did get some remnants from him though, Erdrique got 7 and Sttollen got 15.

I then headed off to Tear of Dhakaan.  Erdrique collected a monster manual deed for clay golem hunter while I took them through the quest.  I was also able to collect 5 out of the 6 shards.  Erdrique and Sttollen also came across the lieuntenants Morkag-khor, Graka-khor, and Karuk-khor.  They also came across the champions Tarkar, Prantag, Krazna, Guptrak, and Nartar.  I also picked quite a number of remnants, 67 for Erdrique and 23 for Sttollen.  After that, I called it a night.

So, it was a really light week.  I hope to get more runs in this week!!  I hope everybody else had a great week!!  Thanks for reading and happy hunting!!

Another Week of Questing, January 15 to January 21

This past week, I took on a wide variety of quests.  I started things out on Sunday, January 15th, when I took Erdrique (Level 10 Bard) and Sttollen (Level 11 Rogue) into The Temple of Elemental Part One.  I had a few problems making my way through the dungeon, in particular with some randomly spawning traps that weren’t in the passage when I first passed through but then appeared later.  This was a minor problem though.  Overall, I progressed nicely until I made it to the end fight.  At that point I rand into quite a bit of problems.  The air elemental spawned as a champion and I had a tough time dealing with him.  In the end, I died way too many times at the end fight and finally gave up.  I’m hoping I can come back to this quest and get my revenge soon.  I did complete the optional objectives for slaying 10, 25, 50, 100, and 200 enemies.  That was the only bit of questing I tried on Sunday.

On Monday, the only thing I was able to do was to run Cannock (Level 8 Druid) through the Tangleroot Gorge explorer area while I was also playing during my digital PNP group.  Cannock collected 434 slayers, finished collecting all of the rare encounters, and came across Gharjat twice, Jarak three times, Xassak, Vilesting, Clamor, and Kroshk.  I also came across Jana twice.

Tuesday, I didn’t log in at all.  This was because of a long day at work which carried well into the night.  Basically I  was just too wiped out to do anything.  But on Wednesday, I took Sttollen and Erdrique into the Searing Heights for my regular slayer run.  They both collected 120 slayers and defeated only one rare encounter, Ghamzee.  They both hit the 400 slayer mark and I completed all of the explorer points with Sttollen.  Shortly after that run, I took Hamllin (Level 20 Fighter) into the Assault on the Aerie of the Slave Lords.  It was the first time I had a chance to look at the quest.  While in there, mind you I was also doing this on heroic elite, I completed monster manual deeds for hell hound exterminator I (1,759 experience) and clay golem exterminator (2,559 experience).  However, I didn’t get a chance to complete it because I ran out of time and had to logout.

Thursday, I did a simple slayer run with one of my iconics, Izmit (Level 15 Shadar-ki), who I took into Korthos Island.  He collected 146 slayers and took out Zeer and Vekz Spluhr.  I then brought on Erdrique and Sttollen once again and took them through The Scondrel’s Run.  They had no problem making it through the quest and completed the optional objective for defeating the minotaur lord.  That night, I brought on Sttollen and Erdrique once again.  This time I took them into Taming the Flames on elite.  Sttollen had some difficulties in there.  By the time  things were said and done, Erdrique collected a monster manual deed for fire elemental exterminator (1,130 experience) and the both picked up a monster manual deed for human hunter (1,400 experience).  They completed the optional objectives for slaying the mephits, fire elementals, and earth elementals.  Erdrique collected 26 mysterious remnants and Sttollen collected 9 mysterious remnants.

To close the week out, I logged on with another of my iconics, Burrland (Level 15 Purple Dragon Knight) and I took him into Korthos Island.  He collected 93 slayers and took out Zeer and Cicic.  He also collected the monster manual deed for rat exterminator (330 experience).   After that quick run, I logged on with Hamllin and took him back into Assault on the Aerie of the Slave Lords.  This time, partly because I knew what to expect, I made my way to the end of the quest and had an interesting time with the end fight.  In the end, I last long enough to complete the quest.  I look forward to doing this quest at level.  Hamllin collected two more monster manual deeds, one for clay golem exterminator II (account award) and one for mudman hunter (2,359 experience).  He looted a Hardened Hide Helm in the last quest.  That was the last run I did for the week, primarily because I fell asleep 🙂 and didn’t wake back up in time to log back in.

Productive Questing Over the Holiday Weekend, Quest Runs May 22nd to May 24th

It was a strong and productive set of quest runs over this latest holiday weekend.  The weekend runs kicked off early Friday morning when I took my druid Cannock (Level 7) out into the wilds of Korthos Island.  This was a nice little mindless slayer run prior to my meeting at work.  After work, I brought on Erdrique (Level 10 Rogue) and took him into the Searing Heights and into the quest Ruined Halls.  I’m still working on completing those level 6 quests.  After I completed Ruined Halls, I took a second to log on with Hamllin (Level 16 Fighter).  Since I didn’t get a chance to run him on Thursday because I had to stay late at work, I took the time to maneuver him through a circuit of the Red Fens.  Later that night, I logged back on Erdrique and hit up a number of quests after I added pure good to his acid quarterstaff in the Cannith Crafting hall.  First off, I ventured back into the Searing Heights and then I made my way out to Sorrowdusk Isle.  While out there I completed the Grey Moon’s Den Story Arc completing the Iron Mines: Freeing Achka, the Iron Mines: Justice for Grust, The Grey Moon’s Den: The Trollish Scouge, and The Grey Moon’s Den: Extermination.  Now Erdrique is flagged to start on the Cult of the Six Story Arc.  After those runs, I decided to collect some more challenge ingredients and completed a few runs of The Lava Caves: Colossal Crystal.  After that I logged out for the night.

I was active once again with Erdrique on Saturday.  I took him back out into Searing Heights and wound up completing that wilderness zone before I logged out for the night.  I then headed off and ran Devil’s Assault on normal and then ran off into the challenge Lava Caves: Colossal Crystal.  Once I finished that run, I obtained the necessary jaded scorpions for my next upgrades.  I then headed off to Redwillow’s Ruins where I picked up a number of monster manual awards which gave me a nice amount of additional experience.  Once I completed Redwillow’s Ruins, I headed off to the next challenge, Extraplanar Palace: Dragon’s Hoard and started to work on gathering the enchanted armor fragments that I will need for my next set of upgrades.  I then called it a night.

To close out the weekend, I logged Erdrique back on and joined up with Hellbanisher where we entered and took on the dangers of The Pit.  We made it through on the quest quite efficiently and that netted both of us well over 30 k experience.  Nice indeed!!

So, as usual, it was another weekend dominated with runs with Erdrique.  I hope to continue on with my challenge questing because I would really like to have the necessary ingredients I need to upgrade my Ring of the Stalker and Spare Hand when I hit level 11.  We’ll see how that turns out.  Thanks for reading everybody and happy questing!!

Another Diverse Week, Quest Runs April 20th to April 23rd

I had another wide variety of questing activities this past week.  To kick off the week, on Monday morning I took Berann (Level 8 Barbarian) out into the wild jungles of Tangleroot Gorge.  He continues to collect his slayer kills out there while also hunting down the last of his rare encounters.  That afternoon I logged on with Erdrique (Level 7 Rogue) and took him into the Halls of Shan-to-Kor and completed the quest on elite.  Later that night, I logged on with Berann who finished up the last two quests in the Waterworks: Venn’s Trail: Clan Tunnelworm and Venn’s Trail: Venn’s Fate.  After completing those quests I then had enough experience to move Berann up to level 8.  So after that, I called it a night.

Tuesday started off with a slayer run in the King’s Forest with Rimuldar (Level 23 Wizard/Magister).  I still have quite a bit to explore in this area.  I think I just need to devote a whole night to running around the King’s Forest so that I can find all of the journals and quest entrances.  I’ll hit it up eventually.  Later in the afternoon, I logged on with Hamllin (Level 16 Fighter) and I continued his slayer runs through the Red Fens and I took him through a few circuits with the Festival of the Traveler.  Speaking of the Festival of the Traveler, I also logged on with Stoorage (Level 11 Fighter) to do a few circuits through the Marketplace as well.  Later that night, I logged on with Sludgge (21 Rogue/Shadowdancer) and I worked on resetting his enhancements and then I tested them out by heading out into the Red Fens and working on the last quest in that chain, Into the Deep.  Needless to say I was quite impressed with a few things.  Although Sludgge is a two weapon fighter, with the changes to repeating crossbows he has also become quite a ranged threat.  I also really enjoyed using his Mechanic ability Time Bomb and had fun time blowing up sahaugin on epic normal.  I then closed out the night by taking Sludgge through a circuit of the Festival of the Traveler.

Wednesday, it was Garrrin’s (Level 21 Barbarian/Fury of the Wild) to enter the King’s Forrest to do some exploration.  Garrrin has just started to work on the epic slayer zones so it should be a productive time for him.  That was the only run I was able to get done on Wednesday.

For Thursday, I logged on with Cannock (Level 7 Druid) in the morning and took him through Korthos Island where he is still working on his slayers out there, although he should be wrapping that up soon.  During the afternoon, I took Hamllin back into the Red Fens and continued to work on his slayers out there.  On Thursday night, I logged back on with Cannock and took him through the wilds of Korthos Island once again and then I headed out to the Harbor and completed The Smuggler’s Warehouse, Recovering the Lost Tome, and The Miller’s Debt.  I also took Stoorage through one last run of the Festival of the Traveler.  I called it a night after that.

So that was my week in DDO.  Not a bad week at all.  Hoping for a productive weekend as well.  I hope everybody else had  wonderful week and has a great weekend.  Thanks for reading everybody and happy hunting!!

Low and Epic Questing, Runs from March 23rd to March 26th

I had another week’s worth of variable questing last week.  I ran characters through some epic quests as well as taking Erdrique (Level 3 Rogue), who just went under a fresh heroic true reincarnation, through some beginning Harbor quests.  As usual, my questing started off with a typical slayer run on Monday morning.  I took Rimuldar (Level 23 Wizard/Magister) out into the beautiful woods of the King’s Forest.  Rimuldar took his mini-army out and hunted down some drow before I needed to head out to work.  That afternoon, I logged on with Hamllin (Level 15 Fighter) and I continued to work on my slayer project with him.  As a result, I took him out in Searing Heights to collect some slayers and to try to find his last rare encounter for that area.  Later that night, I brought on Larrs (Level 20 Bard/Fatesinger) and I took him through one of the more interest quests in the game, Partycrashers on Epic Normal.  Larrs had a relatively easy time in there on Epic Normal, as we he was able to take out the disguised tiefling who was leading the House Phiarlan guard and to take out the tiefling ambush party by getting the Viceroy’s key.  The only thing I couldn’t do was to get the tiefling assassin into the library, I actually couldn’t even spot here.  So the end fight only consisted of the assassin and the main boss.  Overall, not bad at all.

Tuesday morning, I started out some questing with Garrrin (Level 22 Barbarian/Fury of the Wild) and I took him out into the King’s Forest as well.  He took some hirelings with him too and ran around the forest to take on the various drow who were lurking in the forest.  Later that day, after work, I took Erdrique out into the Cerulean Hills because I still had a minor slayer pot running and I wanted to take advantage of it.  I then decided to run the solo quests, The Miller’s Debt and Arachnophobia to knock them out of the way.  Later than night, I logged on with Harrgon (Level 10 Favored Soul) and I took him through a round of Three Barrel Cove slayers and then out into Tomb of the Crimson Heart on elite.  I actually ran into some problems with Tomb of the Crimson Heart as I was hit pretty hard by one of the traps in there.  But besides that miscue, Harrgon had little difficulty in there.  I believe that the only quest Harrgon needs now is Tomb of the Burning Heart to get access to the Bloody Crypt.

Wednesday was a pretty light day.  In the morning, I took Cannock (Level 7 Druid) out into Korthos Island to continue to work on his slayers.  Later that afternoon, I kept on with the slayer theme as I logged on with Hamllin who I took out into Searing Heights and was able to locate Smolder, his last rare encounter in that area as well as finishing up his slayer counts, and then I took him out into Sorrowdusk Isle.  After making a circuit through Sorrowdusk Isle I called it a night.

Thursday was also a really light day.  In fact the only run I was able to get in that day was a slayer run in the morning with my iconic, Tuhnn (Bladeforged, Level 15).  I took Tuhnn out into the Sands of Menechtarun and continued to wrack up some gnoll and undead slayers.

Not a bad set of runs at all.  I think these weeks where I play a wide variety of levels are the most interesting.  I hope everybody else had a fun week as well and I hope your weekend is even better!!  Thanks for reading everybody and happy hunting!!

Having Some Fun Over the Week, Questing February 23 to February 26

This past week was another week dominated by playing characters that are in the level range of the mid to high teens.  I currently happen to have about 7 characters or so who are between level 11 and 19, so it isn’t to surprising to see a week like this.  With that said, the week actually started with me taking Garrrin (Level 22 Barbarian/Fury of the Wild) into the heroic Ruins of Gianthold slayer area.  I’m probably going to switch Garrrin to working in one of the epic slayer areas soon.  Later that afternoon, after work, I decided to try my hand in Invaders! once again with Hamllin (Level 15 Fighter) on elite.  Although I did get killed, I was able to complete the quest and to get my revenge on those wicked beholders!!  The rest of night, I was too focused with working on issues with my weekly Monday night digital PNP game as we were having a lot of issues with Maptool.  We are hoping we got the issues resolved.  I guess we’ll find out next Monday.

On Tuesday, I took my low level druid, Cannock (Level 7) out into the wilds of Korthos Island to kick the day off.  For my mid-day run, I logged on with Erdrique (Level 17 Monk) and I started the quest story arc for the Attack on Stormreach and completed Assault on Summerfield on elite.  For Tuesday night, I brought on Kanndar (Level 12 Paladin) who only need a few thousand experience to hit level 12 so I took him into Sorrowdusk Isle and hit my next slayer mark out there and leveled up to 12 which allowed me to use his freshly upgraded longsword with the Risia Ice Game Festival Icy Burst Recipe.  So test it out, I took Kanndar into the Tear of Dhakaan on elite and had some fun dealing death to those hobgoblins.  After experimenting with his newly upgraded longsword, I then logged out and brought Hamllin on, who I was supposed to play on Monday night.  It took Hamllin through two runs of the Cannith Challenge, Extraplanar Palace: Buying Time.  I called it a night after those runs.

It was time to do another run through the Sands of Menechtarun on Wednesday morning.  I took Tuhnn (Level 15 Bladeforge) out there to continue his slayer gathering.  That afternoon, I logged on with Hamllin and decided to work on the quest Frame Work.  I had some interesting times dealing with all of those minotaurs on elite but had no major issues getting the quest completed.  That was the last run for that day because the rest of the night was date night :).

Thursday was quite a busy day.  I kicked it off taking Stoorage (Level 11 Fighter) out into Sorrowdusk Isle.  That afternoon I took Erdrique out into the Ruins of Gianthold and decided to take on the Zakya Cultists in the quest A Cry for Help.  Later that night, I logged on Charlock (Level 14 Fighter) and took him out into the Red Fens to gather some slayers.  Rosnia then logged on as well and we then headed out to take on The Path to Madness and the Xorian Cipher on elite.  We were then joined by a third Crypt Crawler, Oldironsides, and we then headed into the Haunted Library.  After that run, Rosnia had to call it a night but Oldiron and I headed off to the Red Fens and completed the quest The Last Stand on elite.  After that run, I called it a night.

Interesting Week of Questing, Quest Runs Jan 26 to Jan 29

This week, I had a number of interesting and challenging quest runs.  Monday morning, I started everything out with some slayers in the Korthos Island with Cannock (Level 7 Druid) and enjoyed running around and slaying some cultists and sahaugin.  Later that afternoon, I logged on with Hamllin (Level 14 Fighter) and took him into the Sands of Menechtarun and put up a group for the quest An Offering of Blood.  I picked up two others from the LFM post and we proceeded through the Spiral of Vulkoor.  I had to laugh, as I was the only one to die but besides that hiccup, everything went smoothly.  I wish I could say I had the same experience Monday night.  I logged with Lorrikk (Level 12 Monk) and took him into Spies in the House where the air jets just plainly decided to work against me and eventually I died on the electrified floor of the elemental level.  No matter what I did, I couldn’t get up to the mephit level which was frustrating.  However, I did rescue all of the prisoners so I did get some experience for that.  I called it a night after that.

I started out Tuesday with some slayers in the Sands of Menechtarun with my newest character, Tuhnn (Bladeforged Paladin Level 15).  It was first time taking Tuhnn to meet any enemies so I was excited at getting the feel for him.  I had a decent time slaying the gnolls and undead.  I look forward to playing with him more.  That afternoon I logged on with Erdrique (Level 16 Monk) who I took into the quest Dreams of Insanity.  This quest can be extremely tough as it contains quite array of tharaak hounds, drow casters and clerics, drow scorpions, and our friendly beholders.  The end of it also has a series of runes that need to be activated that are along the skinny catwalks that are difficult to get to and navigate.  Although I did get killed once, I did complete it on elite with him.  That night, I took Garrrin (Level 22 Barbarian/Fury of the Wild) out into the Red Fens to complete the quest Into the Deep.  I played it on Epic Hard and was quite happy that I made it through the quest with little difficulty, although I did get killed once.  I also took Kolll (Level 22 Ranger/Shiradi Champion) into the Harbor to collect some more of the Risia Ice Game coins.

Wednesday was a tough day questing wise.  I took Stoorage (Level 11 Fighter) out into the jungles of Sorrowdusk Isle and wracked up some slayers out there but the real troubles came later that afternoon.  I brought on Hamllin and took him into the quest Dreams of Insanity.  Unfortunately he didn’t fair as well as Erdrique.  I had a hard time at the very end when I was activating the runes I fell a number of times allowing some respawning beholders and tharaak hounds to eat me up.  In the end I had only one rune left to activate but everything I had was broken and I was forced to recall.  That quest has become priority one for Hamllin.  I didn’t log in Wednesday night as it was date night.

Thursday was much better.  I brought Hamllin back on and took him back into Three Barrel Cove so that he can continue to work on his slayers out there and to lick his wounds.  That afternoon, I brought on Erdrique and took him into the Sands of Menechatarun and completed the quest Maraud the Mines.  I was also joined by Ramjam later and we did some more slayers.  That night, I brought on Cantlin (Level 12 Sorcerer) and took him into Sorrowdusk Isle and completed the next two quests (The Fane of the Six: Cleansing the Temple and The Fane of the Six: Fall of the Prelate) in the Cult of Six story arc.  In the process he hit level 12.

So the questing this week had its challenges, which is good.  It keeps me on my toes !!  I’m hoping for a fun weekend of questing as well and I hope everybody else had a strong week in DDO.  Thanks for reading and happy hunting!!

Low Level Questing Weekend, November 14th to November 16th

Well, the questing activities were a little out of ordinary this weekend and were dominated with low level questing.  With that said, my questing activity actually started with a Friday morning slayer run through the Vale of Twilight with Rimuldar (Level 23 Wizard/Magister) as he continues to collect some slayers from Shavarath.  That afternoon, I did some mid-level questing with Hamllin (Level 13 Fighter) who ventured back into Ataraxia’s Haven and got his revenge on the duergar in the quest Reclamation.  Of course I was also impacted by the server issues later on Thursday night.  After checking on a few DDO related items, I decided to boot up Neverwinter Nights II and took my Spirit Shaman (Ragnar, Level 6) further into the city of Neverwinter and came across a few encounters which allowed me to level up.

By around 1 am EST later Friday/early Saturday the DDO servers were back online which allowed to log in with Erdrique (Level 8 Monk).  I took Erdrique back out into Three Barrel Cove and completed the quests The Troglodyte’s Get, Old Gray Garl, and The Scondrel’s Run.  This allowed me to finish up all of the quest in the Three Barrel Cove area and left me with only the slayers to max out on.  After my run through the Scondrel’s Run I called it a night.

I didn’t get much questing in on Saturday, as that was my data night weekend.  However, I did get Erdrique into Three Barrel Cove to complete his slayer runs out there while my beautiful wife had to work and in between some chores.  Now Erdrique is ready to head off to the Searing Heights and to take on the forces of the Sulataar Drow and the Blood Tide Pirates.

On Sunday I logged on with my newest/youngest character, my casting druid Cannock.  The first thing I did was to give his wolf a new name, Slasher.  I was then joined by Khamelblade and we went ahead to finish off the Korthos Island Quests.  While running from quest entrance to quest entrance, we were able to finish the rare encounters and explorer point quests.  We also took on and completed Stopping the Sahaugin, Necromancer’s Doom, Sacrifices, and Misery’s Peak with little difficulty.  We then headed out to the Harbor and the Marketplace and breezed through Walk the Butcher’s Path, The Sunken Sewer, and the Baudry Cartamon Chain.  We called it a night after those runs.

So as you can tell the questing this week was quite light overall, dominated with low level runs.  The runs were still good as I keep getting Erdrique closer to his next level and I got some play time in with Cannock.  I hope everybody else had a good weekend as well!!  Thanks for reading and happy hunting!!

Primarily Low Level Questing With One Epic Run, Questing Over October 13th to October 16th

The questing for me this week was dominated with runs with my new druid, Cannock (Level 7), some more runs with Erdrique (Level 4 Monk) and Hamllin (Level 12 Fighter).  I did get one epic level quest run with Rimuldar (Level 23 Wizard/Magister) as well.

The week started with a Monday morning slayer run with Containment (Level 5) who finished up his Waterworks Slayers and then moved onto to start his domination of Tangleroot Gorge.  Later that afternoon, I logged on with Hamllin and took him back out into Sorrowdusk Isle and completed the quest The Sanctum: The Church and the Fury which was the last quest in the Cult of Six story arc.  For Monday night, I logged on with my newest character, Cannock, and took him through “The Voyage” and raised him up to level 7.  I then took him out into Korthos and completed the quests Heyton’s Rest, The Storehouse Secret, The Cannith Crystal, The Collaborator, Redemption, and some Korthos Island Slayers.  Even though I was over level, I also go back and run theses quest for the favor.  After hitting those up, I called it a night.

I was scheduled to play Charlock (Level 13 Fighter) on Tuesday morning for my slayer run so I brought him and out into Sorrowdusk Isle and finished that explorer zone.  Charlock is now ready to head out into the Red Fens.  My afternoon run was with Erdrique who I took into the Depths of Darkness.  Unfortunately I was running behind and that was the only quest I get in for my mid-day afternoon run.  Tuesday night, I logged on with Rimuldar.  Rimuldar was working on finishing up the Sands of Menechtarun quests on epic normal.  He only needed the quest, Against the Demon Queen, to finish all of the quests on epic normal before he moves onto the next set of quests.  The quest run went very well and I wrote about it here.  It was one of my more enjoyable runs in the epic setting so far.  After I took Rimudlar through the Court of Lailat, I then headed off to House Cannith and ran the challenge Buying Time on level 20 for some of the heroic ingredients.   I had no major issues in there, but I did actually get killed but I was still able to complete the quest.  After the run through Buying Time, I headed off to bed.

Wednesday morning I was scheduled to start the day with Lorrikk (Level 11 Monk) and I took him out into the Searing Heights.  Lorrikk is nearly done with the Searing Heights, he only needs one last rare encounter (Guck) and he will be finished with the area and will be moving to Sorrowdusk Isle.  When I got home from work, I logged on with Hamllin and took him into the last parts of the Ruins of Threnal: Entering the Gate Chamber and The Gate Chamber.  While running through Entering the Gate Chamber, I just realized even more how much slimes and rust monsters annoy me…  I didn’t run anything Wednesday night because it was date night with the misses :).

For Thursday, the day started out with me logging in with Crawlller (Level 5 Ranger) and I took him out into Tangleroot Gorge.  I was lucky enough to have another player join my party post in the LFM panel during my run through of explorer area which allowed us to power through the explorer area twice before I needed to head to work.  I didn’t log into the game for a mid-day run, as I took my wife out for a little celebration (she was accepted into a new college) but I did log in Thursday night with Erdrique and I took him through the last two quests in the Catacombs: Endgame: Marguerite and Endgame: Archbishop’s Fate.  After that,  I logged on with Containment and took him through Home Sweet Sewer, Kobold Assault (normal and hard), and into the Cannith Challenge Behind the Door.  For the challenge, I didn’t quite complete the quest as I ran out of time before I got to one of the boss monsters, however I did kill the Mother of the Nest and earned a supply chest.  After those runs, I called it a night.

To sum up the questing for the week, it was centered around low level and mid level runs with a very fun epic run on Tuesday night.  It was a good of questing!!  I hope you all had a strong week as well :).  Thanks for reading and happy hunting everybody!!
