Runs Over January 11th to 13th

Well, the weekend from January 11th to January 13th was more productive than the weekend previous.  The first thing I did was to complete the quest Lord of Eyes with Erdrique (Level 23 Bard/Fatesinger) and Sttollen (Level 22 Rogue/Shadowdancer) on elite which also closed out the story arc for the Reign of Madness.  Erdrique wand up looting Belashyrra’s Cleansed Scepter in the end quest.  As quest rewards for completing the Reign of Madness story arc, Erdrique picked up the rune arm Glorious Obscenity and Sttollen picked up Fleshshaper’s Brigadine.  I then took Erdrique and Sttollen into the Sands of Menechtarun where they picked up another 502 gnoll slayers and hit the 3,000 slayer mark completing that portion of the slayer quests.  They also picked up another 45 slayers in scorrow.  During this run they took down Commander Errulf, Vorvand Darkfur, Utach Sandcrawl, and Stinkpelt.  That closed out my runs for Friday night.

On Saturday night, I took Erdrique and Sttollen into the quest Good Intentions.  It was the first time I tried this quest.  I remembered reading about it and how it contains a lot of constructs.  Boy, was that not overstated.  Even being level 23, Erdrique wound up getting kicked twice, primarily because I just wasn’t prepared for what to expect.  However, I did get through it.  Erdrique would up looting the Dashing Gloves while Sttollen picked up the Ring of Prowess.  I then took Erdrique and Sttollen back out into the Sands of Menechtarun to get some more slayers, focusing this time on the scorrow.  They picked up another 133 slayers and came across Volrune and Utach Sandcrawl.  I then started to run down the level 18 quests in the Adventure Compendium and the first quest in line was Terminal Delirium.  I wasn’t quite looking forward to this run.  I entered the quest and immediately ran into trouble with the beholders and medusa combinations.  I immediately got obliterated and re-started the quest.  I then made it to the mirror portion of the quest and then got punished rather harshly.  Needless to say it don’t go well.  I decided to call it a night at that point.

Sunday night I logged on with Tuhnn (Bladeforged, Level 17).  I didn’t do anything substantial with him, just worked on favor.  He completed the quests Stealthy Repossession, Smuggler’s Warehouse, Recovering the Lost Time, and Missing in Action.  he also collected another 165 slayers in Cerulean Hills.  During these adventures he picked up several monster manual deeds: Orc Exterminator 1 (1,110 experience) and Human Hunter (444 experience),  That closed out my weekend.

An Adventurous Weekend, Quest Runs May 29th to May 31st

Well this past weekend was quite an adventurous weekend for the Crypt Crawlers.  To kick off the weekend, I took out Friday morning by taking Suppply (Level 9 Paladin) out into Three Barrel Cove for my typical slayer run.  Suppply is slowly making his way through that area.  Later that afternoon I took Erdrique (Level 10 Rogue) through the short quest Mirra’s Sleepless Nights and then out into the jungles of Sorrowdusk Isle.  However, the real adventure began Friday night.  I had logged back into the game with Erdrique and then I joined up with Hellbanisher and Cascading as we decided to take on the Temple of Elemental Evil Part 1 on heroic elite.  It was the first time we took a look at the latest content and I must say it was extremely challenging.  We were hit constantly by mob after mob, having encounters with humans, orcs, ogres and gargoyles at nearly every turn.  It was quite an enjoyable experience!!  After spending over three hours in there, we were able to finally reach the end boss and to complete the quest.  We all called it a night after that run.

On Saturday we decided to head back into the Temple of Elemental Evil Part 1 once again.  This time Twotoe was on and he still needed to run through the first part.  Hellbanisher wasn’t able to log in, so this time Twotoe, Cascading, and myself reentered the Temple of Elemental Evil and we actually had a tougher time this go around.  It just seemed to have many more enemies than our first run and the number of traps wasn’t nearly as numerous.  We wound up spending another 3+ hours roaming around the Temple and had to reenter a number of times to get the quest completed.  But, we did get it done :).  Now the four of us hope to knock out the second part next Friday.

On Sunday, I was scheduled to log on with Cannock (Level 7 Druid).  Hellbanisher was on and he brought on one of his new characters and we headed through some of the quests in the Market and Harbor.  We first knocked out Missing In Action on elite and then we moved into the Harbor to take on the Kobold’s New Ringleader.  We then headed off to complete Information is Key, Haverdasher, and then into Garrison’s Missing Pack.  We wrapped up the runs by completing Durk’s Got A Secret.  Hell then had to logout and then I finished up the night by running quickly through Bringing the Light.

Overall, it was a very fun weekend that included my first two runs through the Temple of Elemental Evil.  I look forward to further adventures in the Temple!!  I hope everybody else had a great weekend as well!!  Thanks for reading everybody and happy hunting in the Temple of Elemental Evil!!

Questing over the Weekend, March 27th to March 29th

This past weekend was dominated with low level runs once again, as I primarily focused on taking Erdrique (Level 3 Rogue) through the Harbor.  However, prior to those runs, I took Stoorage (Level 11 Fighter) out into the dense jungles of Sorrowdusk Isle.  While tromping through the woods, Stoorage continued to wrack up slayers as his way to that elusive 1,500 cap.  Later that afternoon, I took Hamllin (Level 15 Fighter) out into the same area.  Like Stoorage, Hamllin also continued to wrack up on the slayer count.  Later that night, I logged on Erdrique and took him out into the Harbor so that he could start to make a new name for himself in Stormreach.  I went through the last of the solo quests, An Explosive Situation and Home Sweet Sewer, and then I made my presence known to Baudry Cartamon and I made my way through his small story arc (Protect Baudry’s Interest, Stop Hazadill’s Shipment, and Retrieve the Stolen Goods).  I then made my way through Walk the Butcher’s Path and The Sunken Sewer.  By the time I had completed those quests, Hellbanisher had logged in and the we set off to take on Stealthy Repossession and The Smuggler’s Warehouse.  I then had enough experience to move up to Level 3 and then I went out to the Cannith Challenge Vendors to get the low level Spare Hands and Ring of the Stalker to realize I was short one Crude Talisman (I wrote about that here.)  So to get my last Crude Talisman, I switched characters to Hamllin and he ran Kobold Island: Kobold Chaos.  I then stashed my talismans in the shared deposit box and logged out.  I logged back on with Erdrique and picked up both items.  By this time, Hellbanisher had logged out, but I still wanted to more quest.  So I ran, Recovering the Lost Tome and then called it a night.

On Saturday, I started out my questing a little earlier than normal.  I logged on with Suppply (Level 9 Paladin) who I was supposed to run with on Thursday but instead of logging in I took a nap .  I took him the last quest in the Sharn Syndicate chain on elite, Come Out and Slay.  Later that night, I brought Erdrique back on and I was joined with Hellbanisher and we ran through Missing In Action, Kobold’s New Ringleader, Information is Key, Haverdasher, Garrison’s Missing Pack, Durk’s Got a Secret, Cerulean Hills,  and Where there’s smoke.  After those runs, Hell logged out but I continued on and ran through Bringing the Light and finished up the slayers in Cerulean Hills.  I then also attempted the Swiped Signet but one of the infamous apprentices hit me with a sleet storm and I was killed sitting down .  I called it a night after that.

Moving for a change of pace, I logged on with Kolll (Level 22 Ranger/Shiradi Chamption) and I attempted to run VON 1 the Tharaskh Arena on epic hard once again.  The last time I attempted to do this feat, I was slaughtered at the end fight.  During this go round, like before, I breezed through the majority of quest and made it to the end fight with ease.  However, once I took my hirelings out into the area, things got a little interesting.  I actually survived all way up until the third wave when my favored soul ran out of mana.  I attempted to re-enter the quest but I was originally grouped with Hellbanisher at the time (who is only level 4) and when he logged out to change characters I had tried to get back into the quest.  The mechanic in place wouldn’t let me re-enter because Hell was still in my part.  As he wasn’t loaded back in yet, I simply kicked out of the group which then reset the instance .  I didn’t have enough time to restart it again.  So, VON 1 still remains on Kolll’s take down list!!

Overall, it was light and refreshing weekend.  I hope everybody else had a great weekend as well and I hope the week continues.  Thanks for reading everybody and happy hunting!!

A Diversity of Quests, Adventures October 6 to October 9

My quest runs this week were quite diverse.  I began this week with some questing in Neverwinter Nights II Original Campaign where I took my Spirit Shaman (Ragnar, Level 5) through the ruins of High Cliff and now his little band has made their way to the city of Neverwinter.  I did that early on Monday morning prior to work.  I didn’t get a chance to run anything Monday afternoon because I had some real life activities to take care of.  But on Monday night, while also playing during our weekly digital PNP game, I brought on Erdrique (Level 3 Monk) and took him into The Smuggler’s Warehouse, Recovering the Lost Tome, Missing in Action, and some slayers in the Cerulean Hills.  After those runs I called it a night.

During Tuesday, I logged on with Kanndar (Level 11 Paladin) and started the day with a slayer run through the Searing Heights.  Kanndar was able to max out his slayers but he still needs one more rare encounter before he is done with that slayer area.  Because of a meeting at work, I didn’t get a chance to do my typical afternoon run again.  But I did log in Tuesday night with Lorrikk (Level 11 Monk).  The first thing I worked on was the Cannith Challenge Dr. Rushmore’s Mansion: Behind the Door, in which case I was actually able to take out Dr. Rushmore and Ugg.  After that run, I took him into Gwylan’s Stand on elite and had a good time making my way through that classic quest.

Wednesday morning I logged on with Harrgon (Level 10 Favored Soul) and took him out into Tangleroot Gorge for some simple slayer runs that morning.  But, do to yet another meeting, I didn’t get my afternoon runs in and so that was the only run I was able to do .

Cantlin (Level 11 Sorcerer) was my next character scheduled for a slayer run, so I logged him in where he finished up all of the slayers and rares in the Searing Heights.  He then moved over to continue to work in Sorrowdusk Isle.  After doing some hunting in those explorer zones, I then logged out and headed off to work.  This time I was actually able to get in an afternoon run.  I took Hamllin (Level 12 Fighter) into the Shadow Crypt.  Although the Shadow Crypt can be annoying, it does give a ton of experience.  I completed the Shadow Crypt with little difficulty and was able to collect enough gears to open up the extra chest at the end and even being a level higher than the CR of the quest (so I didn’t get the additional bravery bonus experience) I still wound up getting over 40,000 experience (including the optional names I encountered).  I logged out after that run and logged back in with Garrrin (Level 21 Barbarian).  Garrrin is currently working on the Phiarlan Carnival series on epic, so he battled The Snitch and had little difficulty.  Continuing my push to run some challenges, I then took him into the Cannith Challenge Extraplanar Palace: Buying Time.   I went in on level 20 because I was looking for regular mephit wings.  I had fun time directing the kobolds and took down the Marilith and the Rhaksasha but got ported out when I was battling the Hag.  I still had gathered enough shards so I was happy with that result.  After that, I called it a night.

To sum up the week, it was quite a diverse week  I ran some low level adventures, ran some challenges, took on a epic quest, and hit up some slayers.  I good questing week indeed!!  Thanks for reading everybody and I hope everybody has had a good week and will have a good weekend!!  Happy hunting!!

Weeks Questing Before Vacation, July 7th to July 10th

This week I had a nice set of quest runs. My questing began with some slayer runs early Monday morning prior to work with Cantlin (Level 11 Sorcerer) out in Searing Heights. After burning up a few of the Blood Tide pirates and some drow, I logged out to head to work. I logged back on after work for a little while with Erdrique (Level 14 Druid) who took on Whisperdoom once again in The Spawn of Whisperdoom. I had a good time in Whisperdoom’s Lair taking on her brood and her ogre captors. I logged out after that to take of dinner and then logged back on later that night with Crawlller (Level 5 Ranger) who completed Missing in Action on normal, hard, and elite. Crawlller is one of my characters on my premium account so that is why I ran the quest on all three settings. I was also multi-tasking on Monday night as I was also playing in our weekly digital PNP group. So after those runs I called it a night and logged out.

On Tuesday, the only questing I was able to get done was my morning slayer runs through the Ruins of Gianthold (Heroic) with Larrs (Level 20 Bard/Fatesinger). After taking out a few of the Stormeye I logged out and headed off to work. Since my wife had to work a later shift on Wednesday, we decided to have our date night on Tuesday which is why I didn’t get any more questing done.

Wednesday though I had some fun . That morning I logged on with Containment (Level 4 Cleric), another one of my characters on my premium account, and finished up the Cerulean Hills Wilderness area and started the Waterworks Slayer area. When I got back from work, I brought Erdrique and took him through Tomb of the Blighted. I logged out after that run and logged back in later that night with Hamllin (Level 10 Fighter) and took him through Storm the Beaches on elite. I had originally planned on doing that on Tuesday when I got back home from work but my wife side tracked me on that run by convincing me to take a nap with her . Wives are like that you know . After I caught up on Hamllin’s questing, I then logged on with Larrs and took him into Outbreak on heroic normal since I only did that quest string once. I wanted to make sure I learned it before tackling it on epic difficulties. I called it a night after that run.

Thursday started off with me running a slayer run with Charlock (Level 13 Fighter) through Sorrowdusk Isle which he is nearly finished with. Later that afternoon, I took Hamllin through some Tangleroot Slayers where he received enough experience from monster manual kills and slayer marks to hit level 10. I then took him into The Tide Turns on elite and took down Captain Tew and his Blood Tide pirates. I then logged on with Harrgon (Level 9 Favored Soul) and took him into Three Barrel Cove and completed the Brood of Flame on elite.

So not a bad set of quests just before a summer vacation to Walt Disney World in Florida!! I hope everybody had a nice week as well. I won’t be on the blogging scene for about two weeks as my family is going to be in Florida in Walt Disney World for a vacation and then I have a work conference in Charleston, SC right after that. I will be back once I return home :). Thanks for reading everybody and happy hunting!!

Quest Runs Over the Weekend, June 27th to June 29th

Over this past weekend, I completed some questing on Friday and Sunday.  Saturday I spent the day with my wife as we watched movies and lounged around that day.  Even with no questing on Saturday, I still got quite a bit done over the weekend.  It started off with some slayer run with Erdrique (Level 13 Druid) through the Red Fens.  Erdrique is currently working on his 3,000 slayer mark.  After running around mowing down some drowned zombies, vine horrors, mire rats, fen cats, will-o-wisps, and sahuagin I called it for the morning and headed to work.  Later that afternoon I was scheduled to log back on with Erdrique (he is my main afterall 🙂 ) and took him into Sands of Menechtarun and completed the quest Tomb of the Astrologer.  After breezing through the Tomb of the Astrologer, I logged out to make dinner and then re-logged back on and took Erdrique pack through some more slayers in the Red Fens and then I headed out to Ataraxia’s Haven where I then completed the quest Reclamation.  After my run through Reclamation, I logged out and called it a night.

Sunday I was scheduled to log on Containment (Level 4 Cleric).  I was able to hook up with another guild (Khamelsquat) and he helped me completed Recovering the Lost Tome, Missing in Action, Information is Key, Haverdasher, Garrison’s Missing Pack, Bringing the Light, and Where there’s smoke.  I was fortunate that Khamel was on because Containment is one of my characters on my premium account and because of that I can’t open up the quests on elite.  However, Khamelsquat has a VIP account and we were able to enter each of these on elite, which makes the quest runs through the Harbor and Market that much more efficient!!  Otherwise, I would have created each of those quests two more times to get the full elite favor.

So, although I didn’t get a chance to destroy some baddies on Saturday, I still had a decent weekend in game.  I hope you all had the same!!  Thanks for reading everybody and happy hunting!!
