Recap of the Runs Made During the Week Jan 27 to Jan 30

The past week was abnormal due to the snowfall that occurred on Tuesday and Wednesday here in North Carolina which disrupted my work schedule and which in turn disrupted my DDO schedule.  However, I did get some gaming in, of course .  I mostly ran lower level and mid-level quests.  On Monday morning, prior to work, I took Cantlin through Three Barrel Cove.  He is nearly done with that explorer zone.  When he entered into the zone, the only explorer point he needed was the Elusive Bounty, so I took him into that direction and dove underwater to locate it among the underwater cliffs.  Now, he only needs a couple of the rare encounters (Dybesh Relix and Dulse) and then he will have that area maxed out.  After finding the explorer point and looking for those two I logged out to head to work.

I later logged onto a character from my free account, Crawlller (Level 4 Ranger).  Crawlller has just started on his adventures in the Harbor and Market so I took him through the Sunken Sewer and the Baudry Cartamon Quest Chain.  Since I was on my free account, I wasn’t able to open the quests up on anything other than normal on my first attempt at them so I ran Sunken Sewer on normal, hard, and elite and then the Baudry Cartamon Quest chain just on normal.  At that point I had to call it a night.

Prior to me logging on with Crawlller, I had found out that the office was going to be closed on Tuesday because of the potential snowfall in Eastern NC.  As a result, I slept in but I still logged on in the early afternoon with Larrs, my level 20 bard on VIP account.  Larrs is currently working on his Gianthold Slayers (Heoric) so I took him in there to beat up on some giants and ogres.  I then took a break and a few hours later brought Erdrique on and took him into Korthos Island and into the quest Redemption.  I had a fun time experimenting with Erdrique as he currently just went under a Heroic True Reincarnation and is now a druid.  I didn’t have any issues protecting Heyton.  Later on that night, I logged back on with Larrs and took him out to Wheloon.  Prior to Larrs hitting level 20, he had started the new quest chain in Wheloon and I wanted to continue with it.  So I took Larrs into Wheloon and spent about an hour looking for the quest A Lesson in Deception.  While  I was running around Wheloon, a new guildie logged on, Lilbitblue, and asked if I had a character to join him for Cult of the Six.  So I logged out Larrs and brought on Charlock (Leve l2 fighter) and with the help of Lilbitblue and his army of hirelings, we took out the majority of the Grey Moon Story Arc as well as the Cult of the Six story arc.  It was a nice set of runs that I typically wouldn’t have been able to complete in a single game session however, I found out that work was once again closed because of the snow, so I took advantage of that .

I slept in on Wednesday, so I didn’t log in for my normal slayer runs until around lunch time (I typically run for a slayer area for about a half hour before work each morning).  I brought another character on from my free account, Containment (Level 2 Cleric).  I took him into Korthos, where he finished up that slayer area.  Later on in the afternoon, I logged on Hamllin, who is currently working on his second life (previous life was a rogue, now he is a Kensai Fighter).  I then took Hamllin in Tangleroot where he defeated Zulkash (completing Doom of the Witch Doctor: The Way to Zulkash and Doom of the Witch Doctor: Zulkash, Herald of Woe).  After that run, I logged out for date night with my wife

I didn’t log back on until Thursday morning.  I logged Charlock back on that morning and took him into Sorrowdusk Isle for some slayer kills.  I then logged out and headed to work (after the office had been closed for 2 1/2 days because of snow).  In the late afternoon, after work, I logged on Erdrique once again and joined up with Okhamel and we took out Stopping the Sahaugin and some slayers in the Korthos Wilderness Area.  Another guildie of ours was having some trouble in Where’s There Smoke, so after I finished up with Stopping the Sahaugin I logged on again with Crawlller and helped Tragicc take out the orcs in the Nash homestead.  After that, I had to logout to make dinner and to spend some time with my wife.  I logged back on later at around 8:30 pm or so brought Harrgon (Level 9 Favored Soul) and took him through the Depths of Despair.  Tragicc was on as well and we decided to tackle Irestone Inlet.  So I logged out with Harrgon and brought Crawller back on and we headed into the hobgoblin infested area.  We had some difficulties but overall we did good.

So the week was mostly composed of lower level runs and a little abnormal because of the weather but they were fun runs.  The weekend as already started out interesting as well .  Thanks for reading everybody and happy hunting!!

  1. The storm hit down in Georgia too, we had about 3 days where almost nothing at work could get down. But yeah I ended up playing less DDO with more time off than I do after working a 10 hour day. I really enjoy the way you put together your articles. Very entertaining read during my break. Best of luck.

  2. Yeah the storm was “annoying” to say the least. I’m from Michigan and moved down to North Carolina right after I graduated high school. It doesn’t take much snow for folks down here to go into “panic” mode. Thank you for the thoughts on the blog, I have enjoyed your blog as well!!
