Fun Weekend of Questing, Quest Runs April 10th to April 12th

Over this past weekend, the quest runs and other DDO activities I worked on were pretty much dominated by playing Erdrique (Level 6 Rogue).  However, I did get some runs in with Cantlin (Level 12 Sorcerer) and Tuhnn (Level 15 Bladeforged).  I actually kicked off my weekend runs by taking Cantlin back into Sorrowdusk Isle.  It was a little bit of deja vu for me concerning I had just taking Cantlin into Sorrowdusk Isle the night before.  Have to love how schedules sometimes work like that .  That afternoon, after I downloaded the patch, I took Erdrique into the quest, The Depths of Darkness.  I didn’t have any issues combating the enemies or completing the quest on elite.  That night, I took Erdrique back into the Waterworks Slayers and then I completed the story line by completing Venn’s Trail: Clan Tunnelworm and Venn’s Trail: Venn’s Fate.  Prior to hitting up the Waterworks, I had spent quite a bit of time working on maintenance issues: auction house returns, breaking items down for crafting, dealing with my overflowing mailbox, and upgrading some of my crafted gear.  So once I completed the Waterworks, I called it a night.

On Saturday, I logged back in with Erdrique and took him into the Waterworks Slayer area once again.  Although I have the story arc complete on elite, I still needed to wrack up a number of kills out there.  After I finished up the area, I then worked on the Sharn Syndicate Series on elite: Stand Your Ground, Dirty Laundry, Stormreaver Fresco, Bookbinder Rescue, Repossession, and Come Out and Slay.  I didn’t have any issues in these quests at all and enjoyed not having to worry about the traps in the Bookbinder Rescue or Repossession.  Once those were done, I ran through challenge Dr. Rushmore’s Mansion: Behind the Door and nearly found/opened all 16 doors.  I was just one shy before the time ran out.  But I did take out 3 of the bosses.  After that run, I then completed the next quest in the Shan-to-Kor story arc, The Cloven Jaw Scourge: Caverns of Shaagh.  And then I decided I wasn’t done with hobgoblins so I headed out to Tangleroot Gorge and completed the Yarkuch’s Warplans, after which I called it a night.

A Sunday, I decided to give Erdrique a break and logged on with Tuhnn.  I took Tuhnn out into the Ruins of Threnal to work on some experience and some favor since those quests run from level 8 to 10 on normal.  I was able to complete all of the Western Excavation on elite: In Need of Supplies, The Rescue, and Secure the Area.

So all in all, it was a pretty decent weekend.  I wish I could have gotten more done on Friday night but I did have a lot of those “maintenance” activities to catch up on.  I hope everybody else had a good weekend as well.  Thanks for reading everybody and happy hunting!!

A Weekend of Quest Runs, October 31 to November 2

This weekend, my questing actually started with some questing in Neverwinter Nights II.  For my morning slayer run, I took Ragnar (Level 5 Spirit Shaman) further into the city of Neverwinter and learned a little more about the storyline in the Opening Campaign.  However, later that afternoon I logged into DDO with Hamllin (Level 10 Fighter) and took him into the Red Fens.  While in there, I took him into the final quest out there, Into the Deep.  I went in on elite and everything started out very well as I made me way through the first temple perfectly fine but in the second temple I got distracted and before I knew it my hireling had died and then I followed quickly behind it.  Thats what I get I guess for chatting with my guildies through guild chat while they were in the Crystal Cove, lol.  I will just have to take it on again next week.  On Friday night, I logged on with Erdrique (Level 6 Monk) and was soon joined up with Mohog and we tackled the quests Freshen the Air, Proof is in the Poison, Tomb of the Burning Heart, and Tomb of the Sanguine Heart.  We started these after I spent a good amount of time doing some crafting in the Cannith Crafting Hall.  The quests went smoothly and I was pleased as I put all of them up in the LFM panel and a got a few hits, even though we weren’t receiving the bravery bonus.  Overall it was a nice night.

On Saturday, I logged on with Erdrique and took him into Tangleroot Gorge and completed the next two quests in the Assault on Splinterskull chain: Yarkuch’s Warplans and Whisperdoom’s Spawn.  After that, I took Erdrique to House Phiarlan and ran the quest Rest for the Restless.  Once Rest for the Restless was completed, I headed back out to the Necropolis and completed the quest Tomb of the Immortal Heart  which was the last flagging quest I needed to flag for the The Bloody Crypt.  I then went to House Kundarak and tackled the quest The Lair of Summoning.  After battling the end fire elemental I headed back to House Phiarlan and started the Carnival Series with A Small Problem.  I then ended the night with a run through the Cannith Challenge-Dr. Rushmore’s Mansion: Behind the Door.  So Saturday night was an extremely efficient night for me as I took Erdrique thought that series of quests.

On Sunday, I logged on with Kolll (Level 21 Ranger/Shiradi Champion) and was joined by Rameses. We decided to take on the Blood Tide Pirates and went into Storm the Beaches on Epic Normal.  After battling the destructive the ballistae, we made our way into the fortress and took out the dimensional anchor and the orc boss.  This particular run was much easier than our first attempt previous in the week, however we did get blown up once or twice.  After we completed Storm the Beaches, we then headed to the House Deneith Tower and entered the quest The Tide Turns on epic normal as well.  We had a fun time taking out Captain Tew and “Ratty.”  After that run, we called it a night.

So it was a nice weekend in terms of hitting some quests up with Erdrique.  However, I didn’t get anymore runs through the Crystal Cove.  I guess I will have to finish up those runs sometime in the future.  In any case, it was a fun weekend :).  I hope everybody else had a great weekend and happy hunting!!

A Look at the Quest Runs Over the Weekend, March 21 to 23

The weekend runs started out on Friday morning with my customary slayer runs prior to work.  This Friday, I was scheduled to take Crawlller (Level 4 Ranger) into the depths of the Waterworks.  So I took him into the sewers and collected some kill counts by taking down some kobolds.  Shortly later I logged out to head to work but then logged back on after I got back home that afternoon.  I logged on with my main character with Erdrique (Level 7-at time, Druid) and took him into the Forgotten Caverns on elite.  I didn’t have an issues dealing with the trolls of these caverns in House Kundarak.  After the run through Forgotten Caverns, I logged out to make dinner and to do a few chores and then logged back on later that night.  When I logged back on, I tackled the quest Under the Big Top and completed the House Phiarlan Carnival Series.  While I was running through Under the Big Top, Heavenofhell logged on and I joined up with him and Bofadees.  The three of us then took off and headed into the Ruined Halls and Red Willow’s Ruins.  We had no problem moving through the Ruined Halls but we did have some problems in Red Willow’s Ruin where he got killed by the numerous spinning blade traps in the cave guarded by the gargoyles and hope to a number of hobgoblins.  We were playing around with the traps..and that ended badly, lol.  But we got back in there and completed the quest.  After we pushed through Red Willow, Bofadees had to log for a little while and Heavenofhell switched characters to Hellsheals.  We then completed Archer Point Defense, Purge the Heretics, and Mirra’s Sleepless Night before Hells needed to log.  After he logged I took Erdrique into the wilds of Tangleroot Gorge and did some slayers before I logged out for the night.

On Saturday, I actually had a chance to log in early during the day.  I brought Erdrique back on and took him into Tangleroot Gorge to complete some slayers.  I was on a quest to max the explorer area before I leveled to 8 to get the full experience.  Bofadees was on and helped me clear the area before I had to log.  I logged back in later Saturday night and started to finish up the slayer runs in Tangleroot Gorge.  Okhamel logged on and helped get the area completed.  After we completed that area, we were joined by Bofadees and we headed into Three Barrel Cove.  We then decided to knock out the quests Guard Duty, The Stones Run Red, Brood of Flame, and Prove Your Worth.  After we made our presence felt in Three Barrel Cove with the pirates we had to call it a night.

I didn’t log back on until Sunday Night.  I logged on with Stoorage (Level 9).  Stoorage is one of my characters on my Premium (FTP) account and his currently working on completed Assault on Splinterskull on elite.  He took on and completed the quests: Yarkuch’s Warplans, Whisperdoom’s Spawn, The Deadly Package: The Stronghold Key, and The Deadly Package: The Agent of Darguul.  Shortly after that I created a my first half-orc barbarian, Berann.

So the weekend was quite active.  It was highlighted with the return of Hellbanisher coming back to DDO on Friday night!! It was a nice productive set of runs for Erdrique.  He wound up hitting level 8 over the weekend and now has winter wolf form :).  Well, thanks for reading everybody!!  Hope your weekend was good and well!!  Now get back out there and do some hunting!!
